Bio
Beth Cohen began her medical career by first becoming a Certified Surgical Technician back in 1985. While working at the hospital she trained at in Indiana, Beth’s former instructor asked her to look into becoming a Physician Assistant. After reading about it that’s what she decided she wanted to become. She started courses at the local branch of Purdue University to get her pre-requisites while still working at the hospital in surgery. She worked in all specialties but enjoyed neuro and ortho the most.
Eventually, Beth transferred to Rutgers University/UMDNJ to begin PA school in 1992. After finishing PA school she worked in several states while chasing her then husband in his career and beginning a family. Beth has three grown children now, who are all on their own. They eventually moved to Montana to raise their family, where all three fondly refer to as home. They frequented Cody, WY many times when they were at home for the museum and the parades.
While in Montana, Beth worked in primary care, pre-op medicine, addiction medicine, and senior health assessments. She has always enjoyed working with patients and helping them achieve a better outcome in their health.
Beth sees health of the individual as having many facets: mental, emotional, spiritual, nutritional, environmental, social, and physical. Her hope is to play a part in helping patients on their health recovery journey.
In her spare time Beth enjoys the arts, music, and reading (mostly history and biographies). When in the outdoors she has enjoyed cross-country and downhill skiing as well as biking and hiking.
